Awesome, I'm in Chapel Hill. I'll send you a pm. Thanks!

Did anyone mention the Outer Banks for a week long windsurfing vacation?

Easy rentals, shallow water, and a relatively easy sell as a beach vacation to the rest of the family.

I'd suggest spending on used gear before spending on a clinic, but if you can do both, ABK boardsports used to do clinics in the outer banks and there might be a few other options as well.

Everybody is jumping on the harness bandwagon. And yes, you want to get one. But unfortunately, that's not going to fix your problems. Added load on the front hand during gusts is unusual.

I do a ton of non-harness sailing. Gusts should put more load on the back arm.

Do you know what a camber inducer is? I don't think your sail has any. Have you found your sail in the catalog?

I have another idea. You may be sailing with your sail stalled. That means that you have your back hand pulled in too much for the direction you are sailing relative to the wind. It's a common problem when sailing in light wind. Try easing the sail in and out using your back hand. Instinct will tell you that pulling more with your back hand will make you go faster. Not so. Ease a little every once in a while, and see if you speed up.

I had an NP Gybe 20 years ago. It had either no cams or possibly one just above the boom, hard to remember. A price point sail, lightweight, easy to rig - did not take a lot of downhaul, easy to uphaul, a good sail for me at the time.
