Looking for a 2nd hand kids windsurfing board in Florida. Currently have my 7 year old with a 1.5 on a Starboard Rio. The board is just too big for her.

Had an awesome weekend of windsurfing with my 40 pound 6year old. We were on a massive rrd soft deck. I went with him with a boom attached under mine. Figure we'll do that til he's old enough to go on his own which doesn't seem reasonable yet. Interested in others success stories with their kids.

Having some success with a 10yo, we started on a typical old longboard with dagger, because it required a larger sail to actually move,it was a bit much for Sarah. My Formula board 152l, was not good, a ProKids 117 Formula IMO, small fin was good with EZZY KIDS sails, she OTOH preferred the old longboard.

Next option was a old BIC, which I converted to a Tri fin, and added a center fin, that was removable, was something like 118l, this I felt was a good platform, but her sailing only 2 weeks a year, she preferred the longboard.

Last candidate was my BIC Wind sup, 135l, Tri fin, which really was the best, but she still cash lovey looks at the longboard, it's so heavy now in comparison. We used a older Naish wave sail 3.7, this year she will be stronger maybe a 5.0.

If I was going to buy a purpose board, all mind I had, I would go for a learner board , with centerboard, Asa deck, RX NAISH OR STARBOARD.

Not certain I recommend a kids sail/rig, but needs to be small and light enough, Sarah did good on my 3.7 Superfreak, with all carbon components.
Good wishes

I know there's a classified section, but if you have or know of a kid's 1.5 or 2.0 rig, I'd be interested for my 7 yo.

We see a fair amount of used kid's stuff through the shop here. Keep an eye on the following link to see what's available:
