| I am looking for good places to go camping with my family and sail along the eastern half of Lake Ontario from Buffalo to the Thousand Island area. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Ideally would like to have camping and sailing at the same location, but would be willing to drive a little in favor of a good camping area. |

| For starters Buffalo is on Lake Erie very windy place.around Rochester Durand beach is good on nw wind.sailed bunch of Lake Ontario state parks Selkirk is one that comes to mind but the jewel of eastern lake ont. Was Mexico bay beautiful sand beaches sail right from campground on sw wind.been windy this summer 4.5 most used sail on 78 ltr. Board 180lbs.sailing eastern Great Lakes for 35 years. |
