|
|
The 4th Annual East Coast Windsurfing Festival Cape Cod will take place on September 17 and 18 at Kalmus Beach, Hyannis, Cape Cod. We'll have 2 days of racing and freestyle competition. If we get enough wind to plane, we'll also do some GPS freeracing. The "special guest" for this year's event is a racer and speed surfer who holds the record for the fastest GPS speed ever reached by a US windsurfer, Boris Vujasinovic (Boro). He'll hold a Q&A session for all your speed questions!
Registration for the ECWF Cape Cod is now open. If you are planning to come, please pre-register - it makes the life a lot easier for the organizers. Preregistration also gives you the option to claim the discounted registration fee of $20 (on-site: $30). We will not have a fundraiser for the even this year, but any contributions to the ECWA are very welcome (and can easily be added to the registration fee).
Many thanks to all the sponsors that help making this event possible! As usual, we will have a raffle for all participants.

Many thanks to Number-nine, who is an event sponsor and will also bring a canopy we can use - hopefully as a sun shade! It was quite interesting to get the building permit (yes, building permit!) that we needed to set up the canopy for a couple of days. Gotta love Barnstable!

This event is always a ton of fun and has some amazing talent in racing like Gonzalo and freestyle madness from Mike Burns.
September is one of the best months on Cape Cod.
Grab your gear and I am talking all of your gear and head to Kalmus for two days.

In addition to the cool trophies from Jerry WaterKook, this year we'll have 3 trophies from Robert Biaggi for the winners in racing, freestyle, and GPS racing. Check out the pictures!
And don't forget to register for the event! Pre-registration makes the life a lot easier for the organizers (and saves you $10).
