Wonder what Fox News knows that we don't? If they fired O-Reilly just because of accusations, shame on them. If they have reason to believe he's guilty, let's hear it. He made the network what it is; they owe him some support until there's evidence.

What, we need a "reality tell it all" TV show where the battling participants fight tooth and nail to win over the audience? Somehow, do you think that there would be justice in that?

Obviously, lawyers thought differently over the years to have dealt out 13 million or so over the past years with clauses that including keeping their cases confidential.

Fox employee says Bill O’Reilly appeared to be ‘masturbating’ when talking on the phone with her

Quote:
n the past year, multiple Fox News anchors have reported extreme, ongoing sexual harassment by former network CEO Roger Ailes, leading to his ouster from the network. But Ailes doesn’t appear to be the only perpetrator of abuse at Fox.

The New York Times reports that a letter by lawyers for former Fox employee Juliet Huddy alleges Bill O’Reilly and co-President of Fox Jack Abernathy sexually harassed her, then tried to sabotage her career when she refused their advances. After the bad press generated by sexual harassment claims made against Ailes, executives agreed to a quiet settlement with Huddy to prevent a lawsuit, the Times reports.

O’Reilly was not exactly a paragon of professionalism, according to the letter, which claimed he once greeted Huddy in a hotel room in his boxer shorts and occasionally sounded “as if he was masturbating” when he called her on the phone. A Fox News spokesperson told the Times the letter contained falsehoods, but did not appear to dispute that there was a settlement.

O’Reilly has been accused of sexually harassing female employees before, including the famed “falafel” incident, in which Fear Factor associate producer Andrea Mackris claimed O’Reilly shared steamy fantasies about “the falafel thing.”

Former FOX NEWS Anchor Reveals That Roger Ailes Demanded Submission Sexually AND Politically

Quote:
The culture of sexual harassment at Fox News has been well documented in the past few months. The most notorious consequences have been the staggering dismissals of Fox's CEO Roger Ailes and its ratings leader Bill O'Reilly. However, the whole story has still not been told. More women are said to be coming forward with more allegations aimed at more of Fox News' abusive personnel.

Sunday morning on CNN's Reliable Sources another victim of Fox's depraved work environment told her story. Alisyn Camerota, currently an anchor on CNN, worked for sixteen years at Fox News. She was interviewed about her experience by Brian Stelter. Her story was disturbing, but not unlike the stories of many other women who suffered harassment at Fox. [Video below]

Stelter began the segment by noting that "The culture of harassment at Fox News came from the top down. It came from Roger Ailes." Then he pointedly asked Camerota if Ailes had ever sexually harassed her. She replied "Yes. Roger Ailes did sexually harass me." She continued:

"He was often grossly inappropriate with things that he would say. And I think that many of us experienced that. He would talk about body parts. He would say 'give me spin.' He'd want to be greeted with a hug."
Then Camerota unveiled a more salacious incident in detail. She said that Ailes told her that in order to advance her career she would have to "work with him." They would have to get to know each other better, and that would have to be done away from the office in a hotel. Then he asked suggestively, "Do you know what I'm saying?" Of course she did.

Camerota then goes on to describe what happened following her refusal to comply with Ailes' sexual demands. And while not as personally repulsive, his behavior illustrates something else that makes Fox News a wholly disreputable source of journalism. Camerota confirms that the network's "fair and balanced" pretense is a sham. "In Roger's world view," she says, "there was no other side. Liberals were always wrong, conservatives were generally right, and that’s what he felt that we should be reflecting on the air." Ailes aimed his insistence on political bias directly at Camerota:

"Roger Ailes ruled with an iron fist. He wanted us all to fall in line and have his world view and say the things that he wanted us to say on Fox News. And he targeted me because he sort of figured out early on that I didn’t share his world view. He said, 'You’re not saying the conservative things that I want you to say. You could be a real model and you could be a real star if only you could sound conservative.'"

The evidence of the ultra rightist slant at Fox News is readily visible on the air everyday. But there aren't very many personal accounts of the pressure people were under to conform to its conservative orthodoxy. Camerota's first-hand account is a valuable contribution to the case against Fox News. And the fact that her experience transverses from the lurid to the professional makes it that much more compelling.

Fox News Pundit Who Claimed Hillary Clinton Was A “Criminal” Pleads Guilty To Felony Fraud
WRITTEN BY STAFF CONTRIBUTOR (23 HOURS AGO)

Quote:
Most Fox News broadcasters believe they have a monopoly on morality but karma tells us otherwise. Ever since they started attacking Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election, a mountain of legal issues poured onto them—most of them sexual assault charges, but a sprinkling of racial discrimination, and a healthy serving of fraud.

Fox broadcasters leaned heavily on Bill Clinton’s past and his sexual assault allegations. Pretty hypocritical considering they had to fire Roger Ailes and Bill O’Reilly (their biggest star). Lesser star Sean Hannity was also accused of sexual harassment, but that didn’t amount to anything. However, there are plenty of smaller sexual harassment and discrimination charges throughout the network, including just recently, a woman being fired three days after she let her managers at Fox know that she was pregnant.

But maybe the biggest slight to their credibility comes in the form of Wayne Simmons, a man who claimed he “spent 27 years working for the Central Intelligence Agency.” This was not even remotely true. Simmons is a fraud, but he was regularly featured on Fox News as a “terrorist expert.” He even claimed that Hillary Clinton was a criminal even as he lied through his teeth about his experience. After pleading guilty, he was sentenced to 33 months in prison.

the right wing condoned rape network is getting beat by MSNBC....

ya it is amazing the new head of NBC what did he do , he removed many of the libarals after Trump is elected, because most states have right wing governors sec of states, and congress, the senata, the president and the supreme court are controlled by ultra partisan nazi ideals leaning right wingers.

So again what does he do when the partisan liberals rating are going higher. Well he fires some of the partisan liberals and hires people who condoned the rape culture of Fox for so long. And what happened well those right wing transplants rating tanked, and look at this.....

That moron running NBC should be fired.... the only place on the tv to get partisan liberals and he fired many of them.

MSNBC tops Fox News for first time ever; Maddow leads network

Quote:
It turns out that electing a dumpster fire to be president can be good for television ratings—at least, if you are anti-dumpster fire.

MSNBC finished as the most-watched network in all of basic cable in primetime on Monday, for the first time in its 21-year history, according to Nielsen Research.
The Comcast-owned network averaged 2.34 million viewers, edging Fox News and its average of 2.25 million.
Rachel Maddow's show has been the big winner, putting yet another awkward kink in the network heads' ongoing efforts to deliberalize the network and put a stop to all this "highest ratings ever" nonsense.

Maddow again had the No. 1 program of the week in cable news, averaging 2.94 million total viewers and 711,000 in the key 25-54 demographic advertisers covet most.
That said, the nation is still going to hell in a handbasket, and there's little to nothing most of us can do about it.

In all of basic cable, WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) on USA Network was the most-watched, with Maddow coming in second.
A fake sport featuring over-the-top caricatures pretending to beat the snot out of each other? Finally, it becomes clear just what CNN has been going for this year. Congratulations to Maddow, though.

FOX News Sued For Fabricating Seth Rich Story Under White House Supervision (Trump & Spicer).

Quote:
FOX started on the Seth Rich bulls*t in May using info supposedly from a paid commentator named Rod Wheeler. Wheeler was paid by a wealthy Republican named Ed Butowsky to investigate the death of DNC aide, Seth Rich.

FOX is being sued by Wheeler who claims the story used bogus quotes attributed to him. He also alleges that this was done under the watchful eye of the White House. FOX had to retract its story.

The discovery process on this should be interesting.

The Fox News Channel and a wealthy supporter of President Trump worked in concert under the watchful eye of the White House to concoct a story about the murder of a young Democratic National Committee aide, according to a lawsuit filed Tuesday.

snip

Wheeler alleges Fox News and the Trump supporter intended to deflect public attention from growing concern about the administration's ties to the Russian government. His suit charges that a Fox News reporter created quotations out of thin air and attributed them to him to propel her story.

snip

The lawsuit focuses particular attention on the role of the Trump supporter, Ed Butowsky, in weaving the story. He is a wealthy Dallas investor and unpaid Fox commentator on financial matters, who has emerged as a reliable Republican surrogate in recent years. Butowsky offered to pay for Wheeler to investigate the death of the DNC aide, Seth Rich, on behalf of his grieving parents in Omaha.
On April 20, a month before the story ran, Butowsky and Wheeler — the investor and the investigator — met at the White House with then Press Secretary Sean Spicer to brief him on what they were uncovering.

The first page of the lawsuit quotes a voicemail and text from Butowsky boasting that President Trump himself had reviewed drafts of the Fox News story just before it went to air and was published.

snip

"Rod Wheeler unfortunately was used as a pawn by Ed Butowsky, Fox News and the Trump administration to try and steer away the attention that was being given about the Russian hacking of the DNC e-mails," said Douglas Wigdor, Wheeler's lawyer.

The whole ordeal has been immensely hurtful to Rich's family. They've repeatedly requested that his memory be respected and the misinformation stop, including after Fox News host Sean Hannity began stoking theories about Rich's death on his prime time cable news show. After the fallacious Fox News report ran in May, Hannity claimed on the air that it "[blew] the whole Russia collusion narrative completely out of the water."

Lawyer wants Trump’s testimony in ‘fake news’ suit against Fox
Quote:
WASHINGTON — The lawyer for a Washington private investigator who is suing Fox News over its use of allegedly invented quotes in a news story advancing a bizarre conspiracy theory said Tuesday he will seek to depose President Trump and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer to question them over their roles in the affair.

“We’re going to litigate this case as we would any other,” and that means “we’ll want to depose anyone who has information,” including the president, said attorney Douglas Wigdor, who is representing the investigator, Rod Wheeler.

The lawsuit was filed in a New York federal court on Tuesday against Fox News, one of its reporters, Malia Zimmerman, and Ed Butowsky, a Dallas-based financier who has often appeared as a commentator on Fox News and allegedly worked with Zimmerman on a story about the death of former DNC staffer Seth Rich.

According to the lawsuit, which was first reported by National Public Radio’s David Folkenflik, Butowsky on his own hired Wheeler, a former Washington, D.C., homicide detective, to investigate Rich’s murder. The 27-year-old Rich was shot on a Washington street one night last July in what police believe was a botched robbery.

The lawsuit charges Butowsky worked with Zimmerman to create a fake news story connecting Rich to the leak of emails from the Democratic National Committee, something intelligence agencies have said was orchestrated by the Russian government.

“Butowsky and Zimmerman were not simply Good Samaritans,” the lawsuit alleges. “They were interested in advancing a political agenda for the Trump Administration. Specifically, it was their aim to have Mr. Wheeler confirm that: i) Seth Rich was responsible for the leak of DNC emails to WikiLeaks; and ii) Seth Rich was murdered by a Democrat operative because he leaked the emails to WikiLeaks.”

The suit alleges that to support this narrative, Fox News manufactured quotes and attributed them to Wheeler, harming his reputation.

Wigdor told Yaho
