Series or generation I
,
This has proven a unqualified success from the depths of Colorado Rapids, lakes streams, other aquatic venues. From central Colorado to the Outer Banks Shores. Enjoyed and envied by multitude of fin companies and sailors.
SeriesII , soon to be tested in South Dakota, on the Missouri River, soon to be held in high esteem as Oregon s Colombia River.
New technology with a complex carbon core, cut away rear base, fin template shape near perfect for all conditions from flat water to double overhead waves.
Additional hydrodynamics from consulting firm Ottowa Fins.
Wing shape , wind tunnel tested, and approved by ASS, ASSOCIATED SYMETTRICAL SYSTEMS.
Series III, DEVELOPMENT. Started, a bi wing version, using Kevlar and titanium struts, with strakes flakes and chocolate . _________________ K4 fins

Interesting idea.
After seeing the growing number of windsurfing foilers showing up at the beach, I had also envisioned a smaller, simpler foiling fin with a single wing much like you have built.
I would assume the extra lift in the tail helps with early planning, but without the control issues (crashing) and re-learning curve of the full foil.
I was hoping to build a more upright slalom/race fin with a single wing sized similarly to the rear wing on most of the kite foils. I'm not sure how much extra lift you would want or need. |

Umm
Serious flaw surfaced today the sweptwing and winglets seem to catch weeds and errant bikini brief and bras, the speed doesn't seem to dislodge then..
Rethinking the primary design _________________ K4 fins

and what board is that?
Looks like the tail of a Bic SUP??
I have seen similar fins for longboard surfing intended to facilitate nose riding. The angle of the wing in your second photo seems to indicate it would help to keep the tail down. |

Are you trying to make a foil fin that will lift the board completely out of the water, or are you trying to endplate the fin to increase it's efficiency? |

The foil shape using your question... Would need to be as large as a foil that are gaining some popularity in windsurfing.
After this ...end plate..? The fin..?
From an aircraft POV, Series I and II have wings, the II has winglets, , which are little wings that generate lift, and create a forward lift component.
For me it started with a scrap piece that was shaped similar to a wing, more a oddity than anything. The II version worked good yesterday, the SUP was lightly planing. _________________ K4 fins

You're thinking this modification is propelling the board forward? I don't think that's possible. |
