If anyone addresses a question to me in this Politics/Off-Topic/Opinions forum, my non-reponse is not personal; I’ve simply not seen it. Here’s why.

This political BS is not only too time-consuming, but it’s also time-wasting. It changes no minds, and speculation (both here and in the media) is especially stupid because we’re not going to (and media speculation shouldn’t) influence anything. I’m gonna vote center-rightish -- so there -- because the far left is so insane it’s dangerous to the nation, the far right (may God bless ‘em) is flat-out whacko (or maybe they’re right; no live human actually knows), and Johnson is unelectable. That leaves Trump, despite my grave concerns about him.

MOST importantly, I’m out of time for useless endeavors, and willpower alone isn’t blocking them well enough. That leaves filtering, and I haven’t yet found a way to filter a thread or a whole forum segment like this one. Thus I’ll have to killfile all the people in this forum individually, at least until I no longer have to spend my first 10 hours each day researching cancer treatment options.

Yeah, I know:

Fortunately, that mob of loony anarchists and their more adult sidekicks like LHDR and poinster will still face reality checks from the likes of mrgybe, mat-ty, MalibuGuru, techno900, NP, nw30 and other center and right contributors as long as they continue to enjoy educating or slapping around the far left.

For the time being, I’ll still be clicking on the WSing forums when I need a break from reading too much heavy medical $#!+.

Yeah, I know:

Those of you facing life-altering medical issues will understand; the rest will mostly continue to blindly put your faith in the hands of doctors who haven’t read a peer-reviewed medical study since 50% of them finished in the bottom half of their class. (Oddly enough, one of the best-informed providers I’ve seen lately is a nurse … a VA nurse, at that.) That’s sad, as blind faith could cost you years to decades of vigor or even life itself. It’s the ultimate example of and reason why we should all Do Our Own Homework.

Fortunately, it’s been easy to cut WAY back on watching TV news. The insanity of the left, from imported Soros rioters to the likes of Howard Dean and Debbie Wasserman-Shitz, is just too repulsive to allow it in my home any longer, and we know without even paying attention that another train crashed, another nutjob shot up a school, Hillary wants our borders open to unvetted Democrat voters, another ILLEGAL ALIEN shot another inner city child, another scofflaw threatened and/or assaulted a cop and got his ass shot, Comey has corrupted and failed the FBI by testifying to Hillary’s guilt but failing to prosecute, and another RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORIST blew up another Toys”R”Us. I GET it; it’s not a 24-hour news emergency. We’ll get the FACTS about those stories in a three-minute update next week, after the Soros-funded riots stop and the BS is OBE ... overcome by evidence.

The left is too busy, they have more important things to do.

Keep up the good fight, both internally and externally. Your perspective is always appreciated.

Regardless of political views, working hard to keep ourselves healthy and active should be the number one priority.

The black male in the middle of the arms raised picture above, is a metaphor for my frequent thought about this forum........"What the hell am I doing here!!". Good luck with the treatment. I'll say a prayer for you.......non-denominational of course!

was that top(less) picture of the softcore porn that trump was in at playboy in the year 2000? good timing to pull out with trumps 3am tweet attacking a former miss universe. He is so out there......

that is so presidential....

then he has guliani and newt attack bill clinton for affairs, how amazing because between trump newt and Guliani they had 9 wives... and very public affairs.

too much... so presidential....

donald trumps second wedding, his statement at the wedding of his second wife was "virginias are expensive" that is his character....

So good timing to get out of dodge when it is so bad and you have more important things to deal with. as defending the most sleazy person in the history of presidential elections may have consequences to ones health, i do not know how you could in good conscience even to this point.

Best of luck with your challenge. also note I see right wingers do appreciate the smart, ie wanting the top 50% of the doctors. Maybe there is hope, but remember to even be a doctor of the bottom 50% puts them at the top 1%.

Thank all of you for your posted and PM’ed inquiries and support. Here are my responses combined with hard-earned advice for any medical issues anyone may encounter.

Executive summary: GET INVOLVED.

Highly condensed version:
One of my four unrelated cancers is returning 12 years later like a house afire and trying to terminate my WSing soon and me within 3-4 years. My only chance at slowing it is to apply most of my waking hours to even MORE literature research. I’m “getting out of Dodge”, as Dean aptly phrased it, not because of this forum’s lefties “defending the most sleazy person in the history of presidential elections” but because I have to focus on things much more urgent to me than the future of the free world.

What’s relevant to all of you is the common factor between this and any other medical issue: any patient that doesn’t get informed and assertively involved in virtually any medical issue they face is risking unnecessary trouble. I have VERY often caught and corrected physicians and nurses heading towards serious blunders even in simple matters. Even some top medical school graduates just pick a treatment from a checklist with only passing regard to side effects, their patient’s priorities, or new knowledge. Many are stuck in their med school dark ages along with old wives’ tales about cholesterol, statins, saturated fat, aerobics and much more. My National Cancer Institute Designated Cancer Center’s urgent treatment prescription three years ago would not have affected my PC but would needlessly and very likely have ended my WSing career then due to permanent crippling side effects. My thousands of hours of research and my assertive involvement paid off hugely then and may help with my next milestone, approaching rapidly.

NP’s nutrition book suggestion is right on topic. When my PC returned and turned deadly serious recently, coordinating and sometimes driving my own cancer care began to outgrow my abilities. I needed an Integrative Oncologist with combined expertise in all facets of oncology including Western and Eastern medical science, nutrition, immunology, exercise, meditation, sleep, and much more. They are rare, so I did backflips when an IO with globally impressive credentials and experience recently joined a highly regarded oncology clinic just 10 minutes from my house.

Sometimes you win one.

When something really, REALLY matters, Do Your Own Damned Homework. Over the years, my oncologists have eagerly supported several of my own counterproposals to their prescribed treatments. I’m investigating a couple of treatment protocols to propose … one a twist on a mainstream treatment, the other a new protocol most oncologists insist is heresy. The former would likely gain some WSing at the expense of longevity, the latter might extend both while avoiding most side effects. I told all my oncologists years ago that I’d far rather feel like an athlete and think like a student for 4-5 years and then die than feel like road kill and think like a fencepost for 5 or 6 years and die anyway (PC is not often curable; it’s usually just delayed in the hope we die of something else first).

Both times in the past 12 years that I felt sorry for a few minutes, I reminded myself that this is why I played almost daily almost all my life, retired early, played almost every windy day since then, and bought yet another board within just the past month. I‘m thus way ahead of the average person’s game. This crap is messing with my time, but not with my mind, as best as I can tell. The quicker the slide from vigor to rigor, the better. It says on my RV door and now my primary oncologist’s office wall that “Life is measured not by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.”

What’s your PSA? If you’re 40 and don’t know, shame on you. It’s a FAR more important number than your cholesterol and is INFINITELY more important than some stupid ball game score. And never take a new medicine without knowing all about its benefits, risks, conditions, interferences, alternatives, etc., because most doctors have not been taught that nutrition and exercise will very often work much better with MANY ailments from toenail fungus to diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
