for the wave newbies....
Please remember that we ran a Horseneck Huck a couple years back in part for newbies

http://www.iwindsurf.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=23506&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=50

I think it's a relatively safe venue, bt will depend on the swell....On Cape today, there was a pretty good swell running, but at Horseneck, it has to get around the Elizabeth islands

You might get crushed....or you might have a blast

Hi

Isn't it the way -- The wind is always more menacing at night when your only protection is a bed blanket

I can't imagine a tamer venue than Skaket Beach on an incoming tide this afternoon. With a low tide at 12:30, a walk out at 2:30-3:00 will give you just enough time to set up for flat water blasting. No need to fear being blown out to sea, just worry that you've got the right size sail and a fin small enough to avoid dredging at full speed.

By the time that things get unruly, the Pats should be in full swing.

Be safe at Horseneck you all!

RC

If the whitewater and waves are too much for on the Ocean side of Horseneck, you can always sail on the Buzzard's Bay/ East side /Gooseberry island beach. NO shorebreak there. When it's big on the ocean side, the wave wraps around on the Buzzard's Bay/ East side. You just need to be sure there's 2 or 3 of you this time of year, and not sail far from shore.

We missed the turn for HN
But found a rocky point to the east firing
Nice peeling rights
Some say it was and 8 on the scale of wave sailing.
I ok with that.
