Your new sail should work okay on the boom you have 2-6 cm. is only 3/4" to 2.5" been there done that with no problem. |

You need another boom that fits the small range.
Most of us have at least two booms that cover the entire range.
If you are dedicated to the sport you are likely to have a pile of
them.
Another thing about boom range is they seldom work well
at the extreme end of the there adjustment. (not stiff enough) |

You sould try first, but I wouldn't bother.
I always adjust my boom longer to fit the maximal outhaul, in order to do be able to change the setting easily if need be. I have Ezzy's and they don't flap or move much even at their minimal ouhaul setting. Adding 2 cm will not change anything. |
