Sorry not an exciting thread about jumping. Looking to free up some garage space and thinking of going vertical. Will there be to much pressure on the tails if I store my boards standing straight up? Obviously I would have something soft underneath, but wondering if they would warp or loose shape after many years? I remember the board lady saying just storing a board on the rafters it will loose shape which is kind of how I do it now on two 2X4’s horizontally.
Also, does it matter if frozen during Winter? How about storing sails vertical? |

Totally fine to store boards on their tails: many board shops display their boards this way. Also fine to store your board in the garage where temps get well below freezing. That's where I keep mine. _________________ Kansas City |

Just pad the board and it will be fine.
For the sails, there is no problem with storing them vertically either as long as you store luff sleeve pointing down.
The biggest risk with storing sails is damage from rodents. Personally, I try to make sure all of my sails are up off the ground for storage to prevent mice or chipmunks from chewing them up.
