Compulsion - "An irresistible urge to behave in a certain way, especially against one's conscious wishes". "An irresistible impulse to act, regardless of the rationality of the motivation".
Any question regarding who is compelled to always have the final word on forum topics. |

Quote: | The Last Word is a gin-based prohibition-era cocktail originally developed at the Detroit Athletic Club. While the drink eventually fell out of favor, it has recently enjoyed a renewed popularity after being rediscovered as a cult hit in the Seattle area by bartender Murray Stenson during his tenure at the Zig Zag Café. |

That compulsion seems to provide pretty good insight into the personality and nature of those types. The most compulsive types here seem to love the divisiveness they create. A simple indication of who those people are is to check out the list of frequency of the name authors of threads, the nature of the topics created, and those names that always seem to be in the last post column. Mind you those authors, unconvincingly, will argue that their divisive, argumentative, and hateful nature is for a greater and noble cause. When these authors add their arrogance to their ill-willed motives, it only helps to catalyze the attention they crave, and anger they wish to provoke.
This thread below would be a perfect example of just how focused one person can be at trying to keep a negative vibe going when a thread takes a turn for the better, or more jovial nature. I know I've been guilty of seeing just how far these types will go to get their last word. In most cases, one particular poster will resolve to lying, embellishing, make bizarre accusations to keep their hate alive. We should really only pity them if anything.
