Has anyone sailed St. Kitts? I will be staying there for a week in February at the Marriott on the SW corner of the island and hope to get on the water. It looks like there is a rental place on Nevis, the neighboring island, but nothing on St. Kitts. Anyone have any info on sailing these islands and/or rentals?

Not aware of anything. I would imagine there might be some old outdated gear around. The closest that has decent gear is in St. Marten and Antigua. Go hike and explore, windsurfing isn't likely to happen.

I'm sorta in your boat...
Every year, I go to Puerto Rico for a month, right around Christmas.
I do have windsurf and SUP gear stashed there, but for travelling around the island, and also to Vieques/Culebra, I need portable gear.
That's were kitesurfing comes into play. Remedial one year kiteboarder, I leave a couple of kites and a twin tip for travel within the Carribean. Limited to wide beach's and 12-20 mph winds, it still is a work in progress.
Will be staying right near the beach on the S shore of Vieques, so the kite/board should get some water time if the breeze blows.

Just a report for anyone interested in Carribean windsurfing.
Got back from a month in Puerto Rico.
Mostly lighter winds this year, lots of rain, a lot of ESE direction, good for surfing on the N shore, OK for W shore windsurfing, but only one bigger swell in the entire month, mostly days of 2-4' surf only.
While known mostly for 5.5 action, this year with all the rain meant even lighter breezes, so floaty boards and maybe 7 meter was the call.
Well, I'll get it right sometime, maybe after I pass away, but surfing starts to look inviting if it wasn't a 10+ mile drive from Fajardo.
