I have tried it on a 84 & 114 liter boards with both the LP & Slingshot foils using sails from 4.2m2 to 5.5m2 with great results.

The last time I rode on a 5.5m2 foiling and a regular windsurfer was barely planing on a 8.0m2

Windsurf foiling it turns out is easier to learn than kite-foiling since you are holding the boom which is essentially attached to the foil. Plus when uphauling the foil steadys the board.
