Today's news from the commander in thief--House defunds the ethics panel and Trump proposes ending inheritance taxes. That will save his heirs, and those of his cabinet, tens of billions.

Trump's campaign manager quietly admits they never intended to drain the swamp, and it is time to stop talking about it. Trump trying to come up with an appropriate tweet.

In case you missed it.

Quote:
Ignoring the advice of their own leadership, House Republicans voted Monday in favor of a proposal to put the Office of Congressional Ethics under the oversight of the House Committee on Ethics, taking away the office's independence it has held since it was created in 2008, Politico reported.

Republicans passed the amendment 119 to 74 even after House Speaker Paul Ryan and Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy urged them to allow the office to remain independent.

Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte of Virginia proposed the move, and several Republicans stood before the vote to say they had been falsely accused by the office and it has been too aggressive in making recommendations for investigations.

The proposal will be part of a package of new rules to govern the 115th Congress that will be voted on Tuesday.

I hope they do eliminate the inheritance tax. It's a f##king disgrace.
You pay taxes your entire life, save enough AFTER PAYING TAXES, and then the greedy thief's tax you again.
Only a libtard would be against ending such an overreaching tax as the inheritance tax.

Actually most Americans aren't affected by inheritance taxation as it now stands. It really only affects very wealthy folks that have accumulated tens of millions or more, and only when they die. Kind of hard to feel sorry their heirs looking for an enormous windfall. But for folks like Trump and his small circle of rich friends, it's super important to protect oligarchy through the generations. Changes like this need to get done right away.

One wonders how long it will take to significantly cut the tax rates for those at the top income brackets. America can't be great again without this important change, right?

Ya, damn those rich people! They deserve to be punished for being successful, and so do those schmucks they left their "after tax" wealth to. I hate those people who work hard, and take chances to get ahead in life too.......NOT!

Well NP, seems that you would fit right in with greedy Republicans getting apoplectic about the federal government stealing their hard earned millions.

Who the hell needs a government that pisses away tons of my money on stupid entitlements like Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid. And, don't get me started on the ridiculous waste for food stamps, childcare and welfare programs for the poorest in society. What a bunch of fricking losers that probably haven't worked an honest day of work in their whole life. Damn, why do we pay for any of that kind of crap?

Maybe we can get Boggs to pay his fair share.......

Sorry I don't buy into the dialogue that those damn rich people should pay through their noses.

Let me ask you, do you think there needs to be a soccer field, park with a splash pad, recreation center, baseball diamond, skate park etc. etc. etc. (that competes with private businesses in many cases) on every corner? Government dreams all this crap up, the zombies all want it, as the government reaches deeper into their pockets, and then the zombies point at those damn rich folk to pay for it all.

How about using taxes first and foremost for the most important things, then and just then, the extra is used for the stupid stuff? Junior having a skate park is not important.....a person needing health care, or food? Yup, that's important!

Sorry, I find it hard to be sympathetic at times when I rarely work less than a 10 -12 hour day to provide a great life for my family, and some feel I should pay a disproportionate amount of taxes for doing such.....and many times for people who have been programmed that society will take care of them.

And I'm having hard time with your math.. work 10-12 hr days AND travel all over North America hunting wind and mountain biking..??

Yup, most days I'm up at 4:00 am and working by 5:00 at the latest doing admin., design, planning. During day project management, and then some weeks 3-4 evenings out quoting until 9:00 pm. This morning in the office at 3:30 am and stopped at 6:00pm. Yup, chasing waves, well earned waves, and tomorrow off to Cuba. What can I say? I like pounding nails, and paying my taxes....all of them (once, and not again after I'm dead) Wink You're welcome, and doesn't that really depend on which Trump supporters? Shouldn't you be heading to Mammoth in time for the 30 ft dump?
