I was there 20 Feb 2017 and there were 8' piles of debris blocking the parking -Rigging area, up to 10" water to push through at the pay booth, and water over the road to the camping-launch. FUN

I am mostly curious whether there has been any discussion re: RVWA clean up efforts and dates. Their website is...bare. Anyone?

Regards

As far as I know the date hasn't been set. Last year it was April 9.

Good news: I hear that Indian Bob recently secured the use of a bigger tractor. Very Happy

A lot of junk just about anywhere you would try to launch, though I didn't look at the old "Team Rio" (now kite) launch.

County Park

1. Cleaned-up rigging area. Thanks, Bob.

2. You maybe could launch from path above gatehouse if you are sure-footed.

3. Fabiano's rigging area. Sad.

4. Tarzan's jungle play pen. BUMP AHEAD indeed.

In addition to the three large trees in the pen there also appears to be a submerged tree/log about 15-20 just outside of the pole marking the rock jetty. I noticed a large softball size tip of wood sticking out of the water that wasn't moving with the tide last weekend indicating a much larger object below the water.

Thank you all for the update. I would think a 4x4 with chain or rope could pull the trees out.

Sounds like a nice project for some off-roaders
