Acids without excellent ventilation is always a very bad thing. You probably used diluted nitric acid and might have gotten some nitrous oxide (laughing gas) fumes along with acid fumes. If you used concentrated nitric acid you might get the toxic red-brown nitrogen dioxide fumes . I doubt you would be posting now if you had been breathing nitrogen dioxide fumes. Next time someone has a stuck insert in a fin let's do the safe thing and all chip in and buy them a new fin. |
