Word from the Navy rep. is we're now looking at second week of June to have full access to the ramp (removal of fences). Parking where the apartments once stood.
meantime, still can get in Friday after 4ish through Sunday via the Avenue. |

Would like to sail TI this afternoon -- Tuesday 5/23 . . . .
I take it Ave gate will likely be locked? What are the alternatives?
Thanks |

The grassy lawn was there before, it was just hidden by the buildings ... the problem is what is after the grassy area: steep rocks (6-8 feet) or the U-shaped launching spot. I still don't see how most kiters can navigate out of it but, hey! welcome if they do. |

No kites launch from TI. not a good spot to launch a kite from and not likely to be one for decades (once they build the promised park).
there is a kite instructor who parks his boat in the cove. He has access to the best wind in the bay. Sometimes another kite teacher brings students up on a jet ski.
The WS foil board guys visit from Berkeley, but they never stop to chat. (exclusive club that) |
