Looking to get one of these new. Haven't seen it for under $200. Anyone seen it at a good price anywhere?
In the kiteboard world there are always deals. In the windsurf world there seems to be no deals?
Example: at the end of the year they blow out all their old stock at half price or better. That $200 harness is only $50. Seen it year after year.
Another example: dealer would will sell whatever the item is at a "really good price".
I own 30 kites for my kite buggy. Never paid full price for any of them. Got deals on my buggies too. |

I spent my money on the ION radius instead, got it for less than $200, one of the best pieces of equipment I have owned!
I'm not fond of the Dakine as the connection with the bar is vague. I can slightly twist to the side to get similar effect as the sliding bar without having the unwanted twist and ride up from the Dakine. _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

The current Dakine harness models don't tend to be discounted unless they are, or are about to, be superseded.
Please avoid buying a harness on spec if at all possible, you really need to try on as many makes and models as possible to find the one that's for you
Ps I have a Dakine T5 which I like a lot, the t6 I tried didn't fit me at all |

The windsurfing industry finally figured out that most of their inventory was being sold at huge discounts end of year, so they got rigorous with their production quantities. There are many hot boards and sails that if you haven't bought one by June, you're out of luck. There are still end of year bargains to be had, but the pickings are slim. For the most popular gear the pickings are often nonexistent. _________________ Michael

Wow. I searched "dakine t7" on google and the first return was the $154 one on dakine.com. Takes you right to it. Different colors but otherwise looks identical to the $230 one. Maybe last year's? Anyway, just search for 10000463. There appears to be one black xl at The House for even less. |

This year I bought a Point-7 chest harness http://www.point-7.com/gear/technical-apparel/waist-harness/ for around $140 (130 euro)
Best harness I ever owned. With Da Kine T-4 and T-6 I always had some back pain especially at the beginning of the season. With this one: none. Very light, no complications. |

That Point 7 one looks real nice. If I go with a fixed hook I'll pick one up.
Thanks for the info on that $130 deal at the house. Exactly what I was looking for. |
