|
|
I find the computer grey line wind prediction per site very very useful and so do my fellow windsurfers, more so than the human predictions.
It used to show up on the actual site graph then it disappeared there and only showed up if you moussed over the area map for your sailing area.
Now it's not showing up there either!
This is of course on the older more useful iwindsurf site.
Since this has happened on both my computer and smart phone I am assuming it's not something wrong on my end.
Please help us out and reinstate the computer prediction line!
Thanks

Agree - the gray line was missing just today on the SF North Bay compilation site in the Classic mode.
I find this the most helpful iWind site of all - encompassing all locations in a single glance. Then when I "moused over", or moved the cursor over an individual site it would show the gray line prediction for the rest of the day.
Very useful and already noticed on the day it vanished - another indication of value/importance to users.

Guys,
Please send a link to the page you are talking about. We had some major issues with some of the sites in the cloud this weekend and something could still be awry.
Then I will check into it and give IT a heads up.

Hi David,
That link just brought up the classic iwindsurf.com wind map. And when I click on a site it brings up the current wind graph.
I need the link where you were seeing a gray forecast line before this weekend.

Below is the imagery I get when I click on each of the links you guys sent. Tell me what is missing in the images.

Mike,
There isn't a separate link for the "gray line" prediction. It simply shows up in the tiny window that pops up when you move cursor over that individual site on the overall map I sent you. That window shows the past wind readings, but a gray line is overwritten on the wind graph.
Does that help clarify?
Thanks, David

OK, I think I understand. You are talking about when:
1. you bring up Bay Area wind map and....
2. you mouse over a specific site and...
3. a tiny site specific wind graph pops up and...
4. there used to be a light gray line that represents one model prediction of the future wind graph for that site.
Like in the image below w/o gray line. Am I right?
Mike
(I imagine you have learned through the years correction factors for that gray line since it is from an old low res. model) but I agree it was a very fast way of getting an idea of wind vs. no wind.)

More clarification:
The gray line only appears when cursor is moved over the individual site on the composite map. When you click on that site you are taken to the full-page graph for that site only, but gray line does not appear on it.
Since this is a momentary feature of that composite map page, I couldn't even create a screen shot - but it's now missing anyway.....
The gray line is comparable to the prediction line that appears on the "Modern" iwind sites for the day. For us Geezers who prefer the "Classic" version it was quite helpful.
