Where to kite in SoCal?

I'm driving into SoCal from Texas in early June to visit friends. Where do the kiters go? I've heard of Belmont, Seal, Cabrillo, Sunset. Is one of these preferred over the others? I don't want to go where kiters aren't welcome. Thx.

oc.shore3, the oc shore and Belmont Shore will be your shores, for shore.

Go to Belmont Shore first, and you can ask around. It's the key spot. Seriously, oc.shore3, to the south the oc shore (Orange County shore) has several possible locations (Seal, Sunset, Huntington Beach...), but most people ride at Belmont Shore in Long Beach.
