Got a better forum than this one for this question?
While waiting for an answer from Weathflow, I'll ask you guys:
JPEG/JPG photos well below the size and bits limits are rejected because they are "not in the right format". Any idea why, since they specify .GIF or .JPG? |

Hey Mike,
I don't have a reason for this, other than the standards leave a few things
less than standard, but try this. Open your JPEG or GIF with MS Paint
(every Microsoft product ever produced comes with paint), go to the
resize option, and resize to 90%, save the file, and then try posting it.
The intent is not necessarily to make the picture smaller, but to run it
through the program processing. When I have trouble with pictures
for my digital picture frame, this works for me.

Tried that with Mac's equivalent. I suspect the issue is as much navigation as it is formatting. There just doesn't seem to be a path through the maze that leads to choosing and posting a file into the ad on a Mac. The apparent path just leads endlessly to the list of all my files; selecting one gets me nowhere.
That leads me to trying a different browser; they all display very differently, as I found with that dry suit temperature color chart fiasco here a few years ago. |

Weatherflow came up with the solution: Re-save the JPEG files as JPG files. That's not simple with some files, but it did work with enough to upload some of them. (Google implied JPEG and JPG were essentially interchangeable, that they were just different labels for the same process and product, but apparently not this time. ) |
