1st Bannon protegee at NSC fired - memo full of CT NOW Senior Director for NSC Intel Steps Down

An NSC Staffer Is Forced Out Over a Controversial Memo
THE DOCUMENT CHARGES THAT GLOBALISTS, ISLAMISTS, AND OTHER FORCES WITHIN AND OUTSIDE THE GOVERNMENT ARE SUBVERTING PRESIDENT TRUMP’S AGENDA.

By ROSIE GRAY
Quote:

A top official of the National Security Council was fired last month after arguing in a memo that President Trump is under sustained attack from subversive forces both within and outside the government who are deploying Maoist tactics to defeat President Trump’s nationalist agenda.

His dismissal marks the latest victory by National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster in the ongoing war within Trump’s White House between those who believe that the president is under threat from dark forces plotting to undermine him, and those like McMaster who dismiss this as conspiratorial thinking.

Rich Higgins, a former Pentagon official who served in the NSC’s strategic-planning office as a director for strategic planning, was let go on July 21. Higgins’s memo describes supposed domestic and international threats to Trump’s presidency, including globalists, bankers, the “deep state,” and Islamists.

note this is in light that trump can not even find qualified people willing to accept so many government positions. He has set a record for not nominating people for positions in the governement which he is entirtled to.

only the alt-right will work with him... and none of those have qualifications to run anything but hate sites.

Why top members of Trump’s team still haven’t resigned
Quote:

On “NBC Nightly News” last night, Chuck Todd expressed a sentiment that was very much in line with my own thinking. Reflecting on Donald Trump’s depraved press conference, Todd said, “This is so bad that I think John Kelly, the chief of staff, is going to have more than one phone call trying to talk staffers or administration officials from resigning.”

And that would certainly make sense. The president of the United States yesterday had just defended racist activists and equated opponents of racism with white supremacists. Trump publicly insisted that some of the torch-wielding extremists are “very fine people” who’ve been treated “unfairly” by journalists.

Of course this would lead some White House officials to walk away in disgust, right? Who’d want to be associated with an unhinged leader expressing such ugliness?

Apparently, all of them.

There have been plenty of pieces published since the president walked away from podium yesterday afternoon, featuring quotes from members of Team Trump distancing themselves from their boss. Staffers were reportedly “frustrated,” “startled,” and “stunned.” A New York Times reporter said Gary Cohn, the chair of the White House Economic Council, was “disgusted” by Trump’s comments.

Whether these accounts are true or not is hard to say. It’s awfully easy for various officials – many of whom are unnamed – to quietly tell reporters that they’re uncomfortable with their boss’ racist display. It’s less easy to do something meaningful, such as typing a resignation letter.

And yet, at least as of this morning, that hasn’t happened. It’s worth considering why.

The New York Times had an interesting piece this morning on what some White House insiders were saying last night.

No word in the Trump lexicon is as tread-worn as “unprecedented.” But members of the president’s staff, stunned and disheartened, said they never expected to hear such a voluble articulation of opinions that the president had long expressed in private.

That’s quite an insight. It’s not that members of the president’s team were surprised to hear him make such offensive comments; rather, they were “stunned” he made these comments to a national audience
.

Quote:
The chief executive of Walmart, the world’s largest retailer, criticized President Trump in front of his 1.5 million American employees, widening a rift between the White House and the business community that has been growing since the weekend’s violence in Charlottesville, Va.

“As we watched the events and the response from President Trump over the weekend, we too felt that he missed a critical opportunity to help bring our country together by unequivocally rejecting the appalling actions of white supremacists,” Douglas McMillon, the Walmart C.E.O., wrote in a letter to employees late Monday.

The rebuke from Mr. McMillon came as six other business leaders stepped down from presidential advisory councils — including two late on Monday, the C.E.O.s of Intel and Under Armour — citing their own values as the primary motivation for distancing themselves from Mr. Trump.

The president hit back at his critics in the business world during a news conference at Trump Tower Tuesday. He spent several minutes lashing out at some of the most prominent executives in the country, saying that those who left his councils were “not taking their jobs seriously” and were “leaving out of embarrassment.”

The departures represent a rare spectacle in which prominent executives are looking for ways to pull back from an American president who campaigned, and won, partly on the strength of his pro-business stance. This has created an unusual calculus: Whether or not to stay on as advisers to a president, a role that traditionally is a coveted position with little to no attendant risk.

Trump's crisis spurs talk of White House departures

Quote:
Now, frustrated aides could be next. Trump’s remarks have left some wondering if sticking by the president comes at too high a cost to their reputations.

“A lot of us joined this administration thinking we could bring to it the experience and expertise that the president didn’t have an opportunity to gain in his business career, and to encourage some restraint in what he says publicly and to our allies,” said one senior official who is contemplating whether to resign.

"After yesterday, it’s clear that there is no way for anyone, even a Marine general, to restrain his (Trump's) impulses or counter what he sees on TV and reads on the web."

It was hoped that retired General John Kelly, Trump’s new chief of staff, could impose some form of discipline on Trump that his predecessor, Reince Priebus, could not.

But Kelly stood with his eyes fixed on the floor when Trump veered off-script at his Manhattan office tower on Tuesday. The president accused the protesters, who rallied against neo-Nazi and white supremacist groups in Charlottesville, of being “very, very violent.”
