Hi Gang,

In recent years we have gotten pretty good at forecasting arrival of eddies off the Bay Area and SW flow. But we still are poor at forecasting the exact focus of those winds other than saying they will be mostly N. of the Bay Bridge. Why is that such a hard task?

Also in looking at this imagery note how none of these models pick up the Palo Alto eddy that turns the southerly wind to W-WNW in the waters outside at Coyote and 3rd. Ave.
