I hope the forecast holds. Planning to head out to the outer cape early Wednesday morning. Thinking of Nauset Beach.

Thanks for the info. Are you planning to go out? May plan on Coast Guard or fall back to Chapin. Storm Warnings are posted.
What do you mean, "if you can get in" at Coast Guard?
Hopefully, the storm will get a name before becoming extratropical so I can add Irma to my named storm list.

If the forecast is accurate, outer cape beaches will be bigger than I would want to sail. The man says 4-6ft morning, 6-9ft noon. (2-3ft usually means shoulder to head high) If you do Marconi, carry down the stairs and rig on the beach.
Mayflower would be my go-to if I was on the cape. Send us your usual excellent report.
I will try RI with an open mind of windsurf / Supsurf / Supsail.

Parking at Coast guard for summer is ok for non-residents from sunrise to 830am only.
Marconi is nice because parks pass gets you in, or get there early, there is no gate and it's free. JP |

"If you can get in" means I have a bike trailer, or we have schlepped a 1/4 mile down a path.
The beach won't be crowded, but the people who incarcerated Don Savage are always around.
Thinking that Marconi would be pretty sloppy |

Just looked at the video. Holy Crap, that parks guy needs a Tazing. Too much power, they would be more polite without the tazer and 9mm.
Will never forget being threatened with a $1000 fine for every blade of beach grass I disturb. (town of Dennis agent)
Gonna be fun somewhere tomorrow ! |

I was doing some Googling and was wondering if anyone ever tried launching from the end of Cotchpinicut Road in Chatham. Looks like one could sail through the opening in the barrier island near Allyn Point. Looks like high tide in the morning so could be doable.
