|
|
STOLEN! My windsurfing van was broken into in Richmond, BC. My boards and sails stolen. Please help by keeping your eye open for this gear.
1. 2004 Starboard Carve 121 with board bag, footstraps, baseplate, fin. Serial #: SU1215020316.
2. 2003 Starboard Carve 99 with board bag, footstraps, baseplate, no fin. Serial #: SU993020039.
3. 2015 Sailworks Retro 6.5. Blue/Orange/White/Clear.
4. 2015 Sailworks Retro 6.0. Blue/Orange/White/Clear.
5. 2008 Sailworks Retro 5.0. Blue/Red/Clear. It's been a little while since I used this sail. I believe the colors are correct but they may vary a bit.
Please take a moment to look at and remember this gear. This is the link for photos.

Photos are also below. Note that the 5.0 Retro is not shown out of it's bag.
I am seriously stressed and discouraged by the loss of my gear. My gear could remain local however, it could also be on it's way out of the province or even over the border in to the US. These are photos of the missing gear. The only photo not available is of the 5.0 Retro but, there is a photo of it in it's bag. PLEASE, if you see any gear like this that seems even remotely similar or suspicious let me know or contact the RCMP (File number RI17-29920 RCMP Tel: 1-604-278-1212). Thank you.

DAMMIT! I can't think of anyone here with more stoke on display than you and Manuel. Let's hope the scumbag has a heart attack. Keep your eye on the usual pipelines like Craiglist, eBay, etc.
And expand beyond Facebook. Does anyone over 40 or 50 (half the Gorge) even use it?

Very sorry to hear . Can you put photos on this forum ?
Take Mikes advice. A local here had his board stolen and found it listed on eBay. With the help of police he got his board back. Good luck ! |

What a bummer! Check out Craigslist, also sometimes it's simply discarded as they don't really know what to do with it... _________________ *NEW* - Manu's Windsurfing Blog, The STORE! |

I was trying to post photos directly but can't seem to figure this out. Someone kindly advise if and how this is possible.
Ebay is a good idea. I have already set up multiple Craigslist, Kijiji, and Google Alerts. Also posted on the Facebook Windsurfing Buy/Sell group, WTFBC.ca, and bigwavedave.ca. |

Thanks for the support isobars. Having gear stolen that you love and worked hard for certainly takes the wind out of your sails in more ways the one.
It all will work out in the end. It always does. |
