And 110 kgs. Is not heavy. Plenty of sailors much heavier than that windsurfing all over the world.
At one time at least 5 of my sailing buds outweighed you by a lot.
Gear fragility is a slight problem, but no more than for an atheletic 150 lbs.er.

The theoritical. One board.
Basically for all your windsurfing...
Not good for anything, but usable in all conditions.
Good luck finding it and being satisfied with it.

Got to start somewhere. Wink

Back in the 80's and well into the 90's I managed to survive with just 1 board. No, it wasn't ideal in every condition, but I was able to go out and have fun.

Yes, I eventually added a light wind, course racing board (Fanatic Ultra Cat) and a big wind board (Seatrend 9'6"), but for 90% of the rest of the time I used one board (a Downing 9'6" in Hawaii and a Fanatic Ultra Bat on the mainland).

It -is- heavy when you consider that most boards are designed for people who weigh less than 100 kg. In order to get the volume I need (140-150 liters) I have to look at boards that are designed for light wind and/or for beginners.

I ran into this when I got into kiting as well. My most used kite size is 16 meters. Almost every 16m kite out there is designed for light wind, but that's my most used size. I ride mine in 18 to 25 knots.

It's also a bit heavier than I want to be. I'm at 250 lbs when I really should be down closer to 230. I'm working on it. Smile

If you're interested in reliving the past, I have a friend that has a late 80s Fanatic Lite Bat in very good condition.

Thanks. Smile If it were local I wouldn't mind giving one a spin just to see how it might compare to more modern boards, but no thanks, I'd rather get something a bit more current with modern design.

I just posted the Fanatic Bat as a base for comparison.

A couple cheaper used boards will cover more conditions then any expensive new one.

I've been looking. Haven't seen anything even close to the volume I'm looking for.

Someone also recommended I look at the Exocet X-Longboard:

https://progressivesports.com/exocet-2016-wave-longboard

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9J6VHggIpc

That video was taken not far from where I live in conditions that are fairly typical (for the ocean side). That board's a lot longer than I though would work in the short waves here, but it gives me food for thought...
