Say what? To whom? The seller, I presume? If they're charging buyers, that's
PP's last straw with me. I just gave them their last chance at my renewed business last week after years on my $#!+ list, and this would sever our tie permanently. |

The seller pays the service fee: https://www.paypal.com/ag/selfhelp/article/what-are-the-fees-for-paypal-accounts-faq690. It's 2.9% + 30 cents. I think its similar on eBay, which uses PayPal. Every payment processor's gotta charge something to provide their service. Even Bitcoin tranactions have a small fee that goes to the miners. I'd like to add more payment options as the site grows. PayPal is one of the easiest to set up for direct user to user tranactions (no middleman) and a lot of people use it. I'd like to implement Stripe next, but it would require I set up an escrow account and do payouts, which is a lot more work and I'd have to charge for. The only way to avoid all service fees is cash (or trade!) and for that I've provided the Classified listing type. But that theoretically limits one to local tranactions only. If you have any other ideas, I'm open ears! 😁
