Hey Mike,
I checked my cell phone the other day and noted the wap settings seem to no longer be featured as part of iwindsurf. Now I'm directed to SailFlow. What gives? |

I put in a support request yesterday, and they replied:
"... We're having some technical issues with WAP pages but we're working on a resolution and hope to have it fixed as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience. ..." |

Hope they fix soon, because many of us find the WAP (plain text) pages to be much more readable then the "standard" heavy graphics page. If they ever kill off WAP (which is an old protocol), they should then provide a text version/ option for their normal pages - and I would make that text version exactly what the WAP page is now. I'm always showing iwindsurf users the WAP pages and most are unaware this even exists. (And we shouldn't have to pay extra just to have a text only option) |

Agreed. Most grownups want real numbers instead of graphics when dealing with "data." I grew out of picture books around 5 years old. I really like checking the real numbers post session to match my experience with the data and make better gear choices in the future. This is much harder with the silly graphics available via the app.
Progress simply for the sake of progress, sometimes (oft' times?) isn't progress at all. |

Good news!
From support:
"As a temporary workaround until we can fix the wap redirect issue on iwindusrf, please feel free to use wap.ikitesurf.com as it is fully functional. Thanks!"
It's working, even "My Wind".
Hip hip hooray for Tim in Support! |

The thing is the text data used to be available on the classic
windsurf website until they dropped it.
It never was available accept as a now value on the new
website graphs. |

So why are these simple things so complicated for them? If they can make it work for ikitesurf domain it should be a no brainer for iwindsurf.
Why can't they transition the crappy old classifieds for iWindSurf to the iKiteSurf style. Seems like a VERY simple thing to do .
None of the above is rocket science. It could be done by a intern
Is the WindAlert business run by a bunch of windsurfing hating kiters now? |
