If you had read the daily recitation of the death toll with the associated comments of how it's all Trump's fault.........and didn't detect the hope the numbers would go higher to "prove" his predictions and comments were accurate, you are naive. |
Two days after I started this thread—with lower numbers than those Navarro gave to Trump—Trump said it would all go away. This was one day after Trump buried the report that we weren’t ready for a pandemic, after he had fired the CDC expert, and about the time he put his VP and son-in-law in charge. His interest was in controlling messaging, not in fighting the pandemic. You can see the result by comparing the US and Germany trends. Those pesky facts, you have to work really hard to ignore them.

What he actually said........
coachg wrote: | I have met plenty of intelligent non-racist people from the south. Unfortunately they are the silent minority..... |
Clearly he believes that the majority in the South are not intelligent and are racist. Entirely consistent with his original, offensive post......."shows just how ignorant they are down there.". Prejudice. Even an illiterate can't mistake that. |
I did say that but I also ended the paragraph with "I will point out that recent events appear to be changing things so I may be withdrawing my statement about ignorance." pointing out that my opinion is evolving. You either intentionally left that out-unlikely-or were unable to understand
it-likely.
Thank you for admitting you have a literacy problem. I won't judge you so harshly in the futrure.

If you wish to characterize someone as illiterate, you really should try to do so in a literate manner. |

While living in America, mrgybe is still very British in his manner. It's very likely that he believes deep down that he's more aristocratic, educated, and definitely more crafty than the rest of us. |

Yeah, and he loves Churchill, despite his painful bigotry. Deep down mrgybe actually fears that he is not more educated and crafty. Perhaps aristocratic. |

Congratulations to a wacky California company-TESLA. Today its worth over $200B, that's more than Toyota, or Disney, or Boeing, or....Exxon. Pretty amazing. I guess EV's are here to stay... |

Quote: | Los Angeles Against the Police
July 10, 2020 By Dennis Zine
Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti who called Police Officers “KILLERS” and City Councilmembers responded to the demands of protestors and rioters and slashed $150 Million Dollars from the 2020-2021 LAPD budget. L.A. Taxpaying residents and business owners were ignored by city officials who continue to permit the city to turn more neighborhoods into homeless camps with expanding decay and rising violent crime trends.
All but two voting council members approved Mayor Garcetti’s 2020-2021 city budget after slashing $150 MILLION DOLLARS from the LAPD to pass the funds to various organizations serving minority communities in L. A. Following the hatched job on the LAPD budget, the council adjourned future July meetings in order to go on a near month long Summer Recess while the City is in a semi-locked down due to the Coronavirus that is spreading and infecting more people in the region and other American cities.
While the FBI continues to investigate elected and appointed officials at City Hall, two elected councilmembers have already been arrested and one has agreed to go to prison without a trial, the cloud of suspicion remains high as to when the next arrest or arrests will occur as the investigation of illegal activity of bribes and corruption is conducted by FBI agents.
While members of the council enjoy their extended summer vacation and annual salary of over $207,000, the taxpayers of L.A. continue to struggle to find a job, pay their bills and find funds to repair the damage caused by the riots that recently took place in large sections of the city. The lack of leadership and support displayed by the Mayor and Councilmembers for the LAPD and people of L.A. is truly a sad situation for Angelinos.
Dennis Zine is a former Los Angeles City Councilman and Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant. |

Just a hint oh Techno. Los Angeles has been a hot mess for a while. The center for California’s increases in infections. 2600 of 8700 cases. Twice as many Hispanics as whites are contracting Covid. This is a class disease to a very large degree. The idiot you voted for has made this worse. |
