I have a thruster wave board that came with a tiny center fin (18 cm) with lots of rake and I’ve decided the tiny fin is impacting the light wind performance. What fin shape would provide good early planing and still provide good lift for weak cross onshore wave riding conditions? I tried a K4 rocket 20.5 cm fin and that gave the feeling I was looking for, but I managed to destroy it on some rocks. So who makes something as effective but in G-10? |

Actually, I have a 8.75 Ames Enduro G 10 on right now. Also have my 8"er in the fin bag. |

RRD 92, 6 meter sails, 168 lbs.10-20 mph winds.
Stock 17 is a joke, like a 14 on a pure freestyle board. |

Tectonics Maui makes a killer thruster set up - the Wave Wizard. Three fins, various boxes available. Nicest set I've used to date. Precision CNC foiled, great upwind for side onshore. Contact Dennis Parton for a personal recommendation. |

On my RRD FSW 84 I use a 25 MFC (5.0), plan to try 25 + 10 sides with a 6.0, and go down to 20 + 10 sides in 4.3 and below.
Should not be hard to find a 20-22 in G-10 ... |

Longbox, you can go up to 30cm.
Shortbox, stay below 26cm. |
