Advice please. Purchased a used Tabou 3s. After using it once I noticed bubbling in between mast track and vent plug when left in the sun . No visible cracks. Left it n the sun, wicked the moisture and inserted a new vent plug.
It was stored in a damp cellar for a period of time afterward.
Took it out yesterday and placed it in the sun. Water started to bubble out in the same area.. Any thoughts or possible solutions to be shared would be appreciated. |

More info on location ... screw or mast track ?
Is it soft , and you sail no cracks...?
Sounds serious enough for surgery , if its not soft , must the track or screw is leaking, both would be rare. _________________ K4 fins

Sometimes, the vent plug does not seal properly. Could be the rubber, or the contact surface is not flat, or sand, or simple "user error".
But if it's bubbling now, you have at least a micro fracture or pinhole that needs to be fixed properly. SolarRez or ding stick won't do. You'll need to open it up and see what's going on, or find someone who can do that for you. |

Thanks to all for your replies. The bubbling occurs on the deck, in between the serial number and the mast track.. No crack or hole visible to the naked eye albeit my vision is not full strength. The first bubbling occurred with the old screw, the second occurring after the new screw was installed.
Looks like a job for an expert. Thanks again. |

My thought is the mast track itself , inside , maybe came unstuck , around a edge or under ior both , has to be coming from somewhere. _________________ K4 fins
