Is there only one Monterey Bay buoy on the classic view? If so, I believe it's mislabelled. It should be Monterey Bay INNER Buoy, the second buoy isn't shown. Is this correct? Can we get both buoys on classic view please?
Yes, I know, I'm a dinosaur.

Hi T. rex,
Take a look at this iW. web page which shows both Monterey ocean buoys.
http://wx.iwindsurf.com/map#36.714,-121.815,10,1
Long ago when we were a tiny company someone, probably me, decided to only show the Monterey Bay buoy and to NOT to show the Monterey Bay INNER buoy. The INNER Buoy has 3 issues:
1. In NW patterns, like today, it reads lower than the other ocean buoys and the actual winds at Waddell etc. This happens because of all the ridges upwind from the Inner Buoy. So the wind has actually reached Waddell and Central California coast sites before hits the inner buoy, (you can see this happening at 3:30PM today.)
2. In summer marine layer patterns the Inner buoy is almost in the middle of the counter-clockwise spinning Monterey Bay Eddy so it can show either no wind or southerly wind even when strong NW wind is moving towards Waddell and the Central California coast.
3. Hard to believe but long ago when the dinosaur HTML and imagery was made all of the direction arrows and wind speeds for each site and maps were done by hand. Since dinosaurs still roam the waters we have kept all the creaky old imagery and HTML.
<humor>But making changes in all old wind map involves renting a van with a ramp and a motorized wheelchair and driving to a retirement home to find a still living, yet not senile, geek who can hand code classic IW. Meanwhile rest of the world has long since moved to Google maps where data can be presented on a map almost instantly.</humor>
I know it sounds like a little thing but if you explore the new IW. you will find that we have many thousands of such sensors and adding them all would take forever. We have added a few sites to the classic IW. on occasion when we have added a new sensor like the 3rd. channel sensor that has special value. But we are not likely to do this for a buoy sensor that is not ours and has little value.
<humor>You could just add the Inner buoy sensor to your shiny new iphoneX using our IW app. Or I am sure you could buy the device below at your local Apple Store.</humor>
your fellow dinosaur,
Mike Godsey
