Does anyone know where I can buy some plastic tubing (high density polyurethane) for my harness lines. The harness is in good shape, but the plastic is cracking. I talked to one of the harness makers but they wouldn't help. Just wanted to sell a new set of lines. |

Trying to thread new line through that plastic is like
trying to get your fingers of a Chinese finger puzzle. |

It's easy..
You burn/bond a smaller diameter line to the harness line and feed the smaller line thru, pulling the bigger dia line thru. |

Actually, not essential that it be tight fit. Just take your line in to West Marine and choose tubing size that fits easily. Wall thickness is another issue in terms of "swing weight" and longevity.

At any hardware store, the white stuff is the best but not as good as manufactured harness lines, you should have bought some, they last way longer than anything you can make. Ezzy, DaKine, Chinook, doesn't matter, totally worth the money, you'll never go back. |
