The RVs are gone, the lot is chained and I just got off the phone with the Marina office...the whole parking lot is closed until something is worked out. Their hands are tied, and are waiting for a solution like everyone else. Apparently, the lot is part of Lordships and won't be opened up any time soon. We windsurfers are still able to use the launch next to the west side of the restaurant but parking is only legal on the seawall drive. Parking on busy days will be a nightmare for all the legal users of the Marina. We are being held hostage by a few people in RVs who could give a shit about the general public. Makes it hard to be sympathetic to those who are trying to get by in hard times. I guess this is the way its going to be...meth induced piles of garbage on every open space in town. Welcome to Berkeley.
Please send complaints to marina@cityofberkeley.info Email is requested over phone calls.

Welcome to San Francisco too. The other day, a homeless camped right outside the Safeway Supermarket about 100 yards from my house. Neighbors called the cop. He told the cop that supervisor Jane Kim gave him permission to camp anywhere he wanted in the City. Many came to the City for the generosity and great benefit...their number is on the rise in my neighborhood.

The bums have been evicted from the marina. Hs Lordships has been closed and the parking lot has been fenced off at the end of seawall drive. Park near launch site on seawall drive.

What's to keep them from taking up all the seawall parking other than salt water spray?
Personally I wouldn't care if the RV's came at dusk stayed over night and left each morning but of course they just want free parking with a view to camp long term.
They could drive as little as a 100 miles a day and tour the entire west coast over the summer for a lifetime experience but no they would rather sit in a parking lot doing nothing but causing problems for the rest of society!

2 new gate posts have been set in concrete very recently just before the circle. Some type of new gate?

They have slowly been increasing in number at Crissy Field as well. Apparently the rangers are no longer enforcing the no overnight parking rules anymore. Kind of sad.

Scat you pesky RV'ers!
PLus, since wind in our sails didn't suffice we thought we'd try water pressure.
All that and greener rigging grass to boot.
