Why? What if 99% of immigrants came through legally? Without reform. Just respected our laws. We wouldn't need reform.

Because there are millions of undocumented here already. And there is NO penalty for US businesses hiring them. So....... the incentive remains, and we are stuck in neutral... that's why.

I'm with you on employers. But if you aslo made it illegal for landlords to rent to them, the housing crisis in California would turn into a housing glut. Illegal to provide non emergency medical services. They'd all be on the 1st bus to Acapulco.....and the new Mexican revolution would begin.

There can't/wont be "comprehensive immigration reform" without first having meaningful control of who and how people cross our borders.

What do you think would happen at the border if all current illegals are made legal with a pathway to citizenship? Right now, there is no down side of illegally crossing the border, if you get caught and just claim asylum.

That's nothing but a temper tantrum. No politician with voters sympathetic to the plight of those who have been here for decades will go along with legislation that eliminates all of their leverage. But I guess this kind of simplistic thinking is why Trump is the worst negotiator ever in politics.

You are well aware that the legislation that passed the Senate with bipartisan support had both. Killed by the wing nuts in the Tea Party.

We're at 3.7% unemployment..We need all the workers we can find. A leader proposes a solution, then executes a plan to achieve the goal. Unfortunately, we a an ideologue in the WH, so I'm not holding my breath...

For all the political Left’s shrieks about a so-called “War on women” and a systemic “rape culture” pervasive throughout American society, the reality that some 8 in 10 women and girls are sexually assaulted during the dangerous trek from Mexico and South America to the U.S. southern border is met mostly with silence.

Mac would rather see little girls and boys cross the border with sex traffickers, than be kept until proper determination has been made.

Trump will forever be known as the first President in U.S. history to back up his promise to fix the broken border.. Thank you DJT...

mac likes little boys and someone to mow his lawn....

Matty the bigot is incapable of making an argument—so he uses slurs. Matty the punk would only call me these names from 3000 miles away. Punk.

That's a big negative lurch.....I bust balls on a few local libtards on facebook and not one ever has the balls to confront me in person...

Another bitch slap for the incompetent and evil Trump administration. https://www.usnews.com/news/national-news/articles/2019-09-27/judge-blocks-trump-administration-from-detaining-migrant-children-indefinitely

The judge was particularly harsh with the DOJ for their attempt to change a consent decree, finding “Defendants cannot simply impose their will by promulgating regulations that abrogate the consent decrees most basic tenets.”

Are you tired of losing yet?

And yet another loss for the Trump policies of cruelty and lawlessness. Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson ruled that the administrations efforts for "expedited removal" authority violated procedural requirements.

Are you tired of losing yet? Do you really think scorched earth on immigrants instead of a consensus deal is good for the country, or will re-elect foreign agent orange?
