Hi Gang,

Southern California can be a frustrating place wind wise. Sometimes there is lots of very strong just offshore and sometimes very strong wind inland. Yet the beaches have weak winds. Just check out the image below!

This blog shows why winds in the 20-40 knot range can blow in the interior while the Southern California coast is only in the sub-teens.
