You can google weights , of those that are published , and or ask what the weight is.

NorthWave has made claims.
A Hot Sails Maui ULTRA Lite

The Severene would be a top runner.

TRI Sails custom UK is lighter than the Severne.

REF: Shipping, the cost of shipping is determined by length width height and weight, and declared value. NOT just weight

partly ., carbon battens reduce weight. The HotSails Maui KSSPIDER is light . And the ultra lite I mentioned is a Superfreak UL

You would probably do better to ask which is the lightest mast, and which is the lightest boom.

You would like to have the sail last a while.

Interesting question, many sail lofts DO NOT make a 4.2

The lightest production sail that if made in 4.2 would be a Severne S1 PRO at 2.3kg, this rigs on a 370, but comes in 4.0 and 4.4M sizes, doubt anything lighter can be found. Also doubt anything more expensive could be found thats not a custom.
My 4.0 custom 4 batten with carbon battens , is 2.3kg, much less $$, and made from materials , space age.

Noteworthy: Naish Chopper 370m, 4.2m 2.72kg
HSM KS3 or KSSpider 2.75, if in a 4.2m size, 370 mast .

If the sail rigged on a 340Bottom mast and 370 top mast the weigh would go down some, not enough to even note.

Particular note a 4.1m Ezzy Taka 4.1 is 2.8kg. 3 batten .

Reflections on boom mast and sail combo lightest weight, strike fear into mega rich lads or lassies

In 4.2 conditions, why would sail lightness be an important consideration? I have to agree with gvogelsang, the quality of your mast and boom factor greatly into the equation, yet one could ask, what are the conditions and your sailing focus?

I agree 100%. But maybe its not an important consideration.

But it is the consideration that was posted.

My opinion after testing hundreds of sails and owning another 100+ is that a modern rig's perceived weight depends more on aerodynamics than on its mass.
