Is this being made in the FLIKKA factory ?

Without a doubt. Very awesome construction, far superior to asian made board. (Cobra)

Flikka , made in Slovenia. Not aware that anyone in the US or Canada had one before mine in 2014. Very nice board, touch pricy compared to those below. Very fast and efficient service. Strongest slot boxes I have seen, I ordered extra to use .

Boards are made in other Asia countries aside from Thailand (Cobra).
Simmer (VietNam)
Customs in the van.
Witchcraft , (Bulgaria ),Mark Nelson (Maui)Bryan Cartwright (Maui) MOO Custom (Liverpool) Red October ( Colorado)

Some further on FLIKKA, they make almost all the components in-house, fin boxes, fins. The slot boxes have G10 as internal support, they use internal hex head screws for them, and supply a neat tee handle, also fit the footstraps screws. They were a absolute pleasure to work with, the finish was excellent .

Another update.

Mark Thoms convinced me to get the Thommen GWR (Gleitwunder) backed up by a FB chat with a customer I contacted myself.

I will be getting a custom 155L as I want a bit more float than the 145L but a bit less width than the 165L.

To be continued.... 8 weeks production time.

I will be ordering the K4 3-fin setup to start with, it's included in the price (and so is shipping to Italy)

Here is a photo where you can see the fins. This particular board is a 155L.
* Note the "step deck" under the paint (also includ€d) I will get something a bit more subtile paint wise Smile

Tune in next week. I luv it.
The fin set up on this photo board, looks to be the Dutch center fin shallow water fin with lots of area fin. The sides could be several, whatever.
I suspect a powerbox center , of course slotbox sides. And you prob wont use the sides.

Your going to have a custom board and go major conservative on graphics ? Do you drive a white Fiat ?

I think you have done your homework so to speak.

Is that a grab-type insert behind the mast track?

The board must be a bit to carry without it. How much will it weigh as a bare hull?

I noticed the handle /hole/grab . I missed the rainbow footstraps. The center fin is called a TIDE, lots of area in a short fin. Curious unless a specific need exists , why a tri fin ?

Maybe the board is transported between the trampolines, bouncing from each.Looks a long walk.

Looking forward to next installment.

Yep, the Gleitwunder is made by FLIKKA.

what will be your largest sail ??
take that and multiply by 10
that is one way to check the width
for sails 6-10 meters

That's interesting. My biggest sail right now is a North X-Type 7.8 (which needs replacement sooner or later)
So that would be 78cm than. In fact my WindSUP was 80cm wide and so is the GWR M @ 145L.
I am interested in the Morphosails 8.4, which indeed would suit the GWR L @ 165L with 84cm width exactly. Mark who is the dealer for both the Thommenboards and Morphysails suggests me the 165L, extra volume for Med conditions and because it planes earlier.

I could also buy an Ezzy Cheetah 8.0 in very good condition for less than half the price of a new 8.4 Morpho, don't know if it all makes a difference..
Mark tells me the Morpho's are very light in the top with the scrim material and are cut for power so you can pump them easily on the plane. They have one batten less than a Cheetah. I have a quiver of 4.2, 4.7, 5.5 wave sails of Ezzy and love the durability and sail range. Loose the out hole and the sail becomes one size more powerfull.

I have an Ezzy Cheetah 8.0. It is a very nice sail, and powerful.
