How is the water level at Lopez now at the end of July? Trees sticking up again? |

Still plenty of water for sailing and foiling. Yes, some soft small diameter stuff sticking up downwind, but not much in the main sailing zone. I've sailed there the last 8 of 10 days (and today) on mostly 5.3 90L (190lbs), but most folks are on 6.0ish stuff. Water level going down about 1 foot every 2 weeks so I expect to sail there at least till the end of August... that is, when the ocean ain't happening. Heat wave forecasted this week so watch the weather as that place can bake in N/NE winds. |

I sailed there today 7/23.. Lot of stick ups down wind and a few in the main sailing area. Not really an issue yet. Crazy windy for most of the afternoon. 5.2 on a 96 Tabou 3s. Should have been on a 4.7. Pretty filled in across the lake... |
