I hit a rock fully powered up and blew out a rear Slot Box fin box. Destroyed the front screw tab and cracked the bottom of the box at the rear screw. The box needs to be replaced, does anyone know where I can source a replacement? Thanks.

If you are in the SF Bay you might want to take it to John Miller.

Didn't Starboard first develop the slot box? Maybe ask them or a SB distributor where to get the box.

OP doesn't specify the narrow head slotbox that Starboard started, or the wider head slotbox that everyone else specs for rheir boards.

Slot Box was developed by Tabou, Starboard had the 1st in production , Quad , I think 2011. It had no copywrite so anyone can make one. Cobra makes them for many boards.
The originals had FCS type grub screws, which were replaced by larger screws, several revisions on the screws and the holes.

Slot box fins SHOULD fit into any slotbox , unless the hole itself is SHORTER , than the fin base. Several Cobra boards had smaller boxes forward or sides on a tri fin. Several companies Makani for one made small fins with a long base, that dont fit the short boxes. Also Flikka make a shorter version slotbox.

Starboard now use a box thats similar to the slot, its called a STARbox and I think it accepts USBox and slotbox fins.

When I tried to purchase screws from the Starboard distributor , they could not supply any. I got THEM from a SHOP IN MAUI.

The screws came in 3 variations , at least, different lengths and are unlike any others I can find, they are a self taping , but very weird head , with a Phillips , that wanted to be snug. Many of these boxes suffered damage due to the screws being over tightened.

2010, Starboard used the narrow head slotbox in their quad.
2011, they flipped the fins and used wider heads.

No such thing as a narrow head Slotbox.

https://boards.co.uk/boards/starboard-quad-81-wood-carbon-2010/

2010 Starboard QUAD has, MINI tuttle boxes forward, and Cobra made FCS type rears, called SURFZ, or similar. This lasted one year. Mini Tuttle have 1 bolt centerered and it goes thru the hull .

2011 Saw Starboard and others use slot box . Starboard IQ had 5 boxes all slot.
