Anyone ever launch from Gardiner's Landing at Saybrook Point? Looks good on occasion. Today it's NNW @ 15-28 averaging 22. Wondering about unseen hazards, rocks , stumps etc. |

Sailed there many times. No hazards that I can think of except the tides. There is quite a bit of current there, so I would sail there when wind and current are in opposite directions. Another good spot would be over in Old Lyme. There is a launch just north of the Old Lyme marina. It is an excellentl spot on a northwest. The winds channels down the river from Essex.

Thanks Lars! Today looked pretty good at Gardiner's Landing NNW @ 22-28 but tide was going out so I did not attempt it. Hope to see you on the water soon!

There is launch just north of Gardiners as well.
On a NW you sail just to the lee of the marsh for some speedsailing,
