mat-ty, Donald Trump miscalculated terribly in his Oval Office stunt, and he was cornered on camera with nowhere to go. If he shuts down the government, he will bear the blame, and we all saw him admit to it, if he is foolishly enough to actually do it.

All in all, Trump's public tantrum was pathetic. Come January, he's going to find being president is a lot tougher in so many ways.

Because you've gone rogue, you've already lost the argument. I know you don't pay attention but Government shutdowns are losing hands , politically, and Trump chose to own this losing position yesterday, and he did it with the prodding of Nancy, who goading the neophyte into owning it. Now, he can't go that direction, so no Wall. Nancy was playing Chess, Trump checkers.

Matty, have another drink.. The Dems just won 40 house seats, which means Trump needs to deal with Nancy. Considering he couldn't get his cherished Wall with Ryan at the helm, do you think he will get one with Nancy? No shot...

And Trump has the Senate, and WH, he has lots of leverage and can do many things to piss the left off. Start by releasing classified document, shut down PP, keep the military at the border...Air-head Nancy does not hold all the cards, not even close..

Lets see what happens next week. I say he does NOT shut down the GOVT. He got played yesterday, Nancy said show your cards, he did, and now we will see them next week. You might not think much of her, but Nancy does what no Repub Speaker has done since Newt, and that is keep the caucus together, she's a master vote whipper. If Ryan had half the sac, you'd have your stupid Wall, and a lot of other achievements.

Wow, it's amazing how libs can see what they want to see, even when it's obvious that Trump totally blindsided both Pelosi and Schumer.
The last thing those two wanted was to be shown as not interested in total border security. So many times Pelosi tried to get that debate postponed to when the press wasn't present, she and Chuckie hated the transparency that Trump forced them into. Now everyone knows what Pelosi and Chuckie are really all about, and it's not total border security. BOOM!

Those two knew they got played so bad that they had to run out to their friendly MSM and have a tantrum, the very thing that Chuckie said Trump had, talk about obvious transference, wow. Then Pelosi had to attack Trump's manhood, and complained about a tinkle war. Talk about intellectually vacant, wow.

Yesterday was one of Trump's best days yet.

OMG...talk about calling the kettle black, NW you've really outdone yourself. Outside of your FoxNews world, the border Wall polls at 40%, nationwide. And guess what? Democrats were out in full force in November, with a YUGE vote margin, so most Americans do NOT want a border WALL. Just the old geezer knuckle draggers, so take comfort in that....

Its certainly true that partisans view events differently, but suggesting you are willing to shutdown the GOVT on an Wall that polls at 40% is consistent with a president polling at 40%...

Last point ..NW, I get your firmly in the 40% camp, that's great. Trump lied to Nancy yesterday, she called him on it, and the fun ensued... Lets repeat, Trump does not have the votes for his useless Wall...its just a 2020 ploy to keep the 40, at 40....

I am not confused, rarely are. When In the presence of an embarrassing liar, its tough to either keep a serious face, or look them in the eye...

The one guy we aren't talking about is President Mike Pence. He kept his cool, didn't say a word...good strategy..

mat-ty and NW30, you guys are living in a fantasy world thinking that Donald Trump came out on top in the Oval Office public fiasco. What a joke! Trump was throwing out nothing but BS and bluster, yet you both bought into it hook line and sinker.

The one thing that Trump seems to understand now is that he doesn't have the votes in Congress for his wall. You know the one that he promised everyone over and over again that Mexico would be paying for.

Why are you guys letting him off the hook and not holding him to his word?
