Planning a morning session. Right now may try Stonington Point with a SE wind.

Lars.

Solstice Sail Day
Lars, you start at 1:30?

I hoped to sail outside Sandy Point to Napatree, but the 100 foot visibility had me spooked.
I sailed inside Sandy Point for a ripping good time.
Nice wind, rain was no issue, 11 to 1:00.

Ended up at Point Judith. When I arrived at Ocean Beach it was blowing 30 with 1/4 mile visibility, which was fine, however, when I had finished rigging the visibility had dropped to maybe a 100 yards. With the Orient Point Ferry passing not too far from shore, decided to bail and head elsewhere. Originally I was going to drive up to Conimicut Point but made a detour to Point Judith. Checked Scarborough, Camp Cronin, and ended up at Roger Wheeler. Rigged a 4.0 as the winds were up but had to come back in to rig the 5.0. Sailed through the west jetty opening to sail the diffracting waves at the inlet, which had some long rideable waves. Winds picked up a notch again later and grabbed the 4.0

Lars, Pt Judith delivered. Nice waves, warm winds and occasional rain hitting your face like pellets in the wind. Better than I thought! Hope something happens today.
