who is c steele
again not one thing was proven false by trump. trump a claimed multi-billionaire who sues for anything, as evidenced by the most lawsuits of any human in the history of mankind. trump has not sued Steele. this is chump change for a billionaire.
steele has provided the us gov over 200 intelligence related documents in his career before this document.

Jonathan Winer explains why he turned over Steele dossier
Quote: |
Jonathan Winer, a former deputy secretary at the US State Department and the man who gave the department the Steele dossier, says the core of the dossier had information about Russian interference that Christopher Steele felt the US should have.

Quote: | The Trump–Russia dossier, also known as the Steele dossier,[1] is a private intelligence report comprising memos written between June and December 2016 by Christopher Steele,[2] a former head of the Russia Desk for British intelligence (MI6). The resulting dossier contains allegations of misconduct and conspiracy between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the Government of Russia during the 2016 election, with campaign members and Russian operatives allegedly colluding to interfere in the election to benefit Trump.[3] It also alleged that Russia sought to damage Hillary Clinton's candidacy, including sharing negative information about Clinton with the Trump campaign.[4] The dossier was published in full by BuzzFeed on January 10, 2017.[5] Several mainstream media outlets criticized BuzzFeed's decision to release it without verifying its allegations,[6][7] while others defended it.[8]
In October 2015, private investigative firm Fusion GPS was contracted by conservative political website The Washington Free Beacon to provide political opposition research against Trump. In April 2016, attorney Marc Elias separately hired Fusion GPS to investigate Trump on behalf of Hillary Clinton's campaign and the DNC. The Free Beacon stopped its backing when Trump became the presumptive Republican Party presidential nominee.[2] In June 2016, Fusion GPS subcontracted Steele's firm to compile the dossier. His instructions were to seek answers to why Trump would "repeatedly seek to do deals in a notoriously corrupt police state".[9] Clinton campaign officials were reportedly unaware that Fusion GPS had subcontracted Steele, and he was not told that the Clinton campaign was the recipient of his research.[10][11] Following Trump's election as president, funding from Clinton and the DNC ceased, but Steele continued his research and was reportedly paid directly by Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn R. Simpson.[12] The completed dossier was then handed to British and American intelligence services.[13]
The media, the intelligence community, and most experts have treated the dossier with caution due to its unverified assertions, while Trump has denounced it as fake news.[14] However, the intelligence community takes the allegations seriously and is investigating them.[15][16][17][18] The Trump administration and congressional Republicans have falsely[19] claimed that the launch of U.S. intelligence community probes into Russian interference in the 2016 election were based mostly on Steele's dossier.[20][21][22]
In May 2018, former career intelligence officer James Clapper stated that "more and more" of the dossier had been validated over time.[23] Overall, some allegations of the dossier have been corroborated,[24] others remain unverified and, according to a December 2018 Lawfare retrospective, "none of [the dossier], to our knowledge, has been disproven."[25] Some parts of the dossier may require access to classified information for verification.[26][27] |

No one denies that Steele was a key player in the fabricated dossier Hillary bought to discredit Trump. So why did James "Lying SOS" Comey swear on camera that he never heard of Steele? |

Here is the transcript of Comey's testimony...Where did he say what you attribute to him?

Isn't it interesting that not a shred of this document was released to the media by Hillary or anyone in the DNC before the election. Not a peep. And yet we know that the Russians, trump and wikileaks were in full possession of so much material including podesta's hacked emails. I am confident in Podesta's emails there should have been discussions of the Steele material, yet the Russians, trump, WikiLeaks for some reason did not bring this information out.
Again Hillary had this information that as just noted by The former top of the CIA nothing in the dossier has been proven wrong to date. And as I point out trump has not sued Steele. Some russians tried to but that was thrown out of court. Trump will not because it is true and he would have to be deposed over any issue in it.
Hillary was asked why she did not use it, as we know trump certainly would have. She said something like she was not going to trumps level... ie not going low.
again she had it during the campaign, amazing that she did not release it.
I cannot remember what the NYT had but think it was the payoffs but they did not run that either. may have been something else but they held back a major story that would have cost trump the election he did not win anyway. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard.

I scare myself. With right wing news.
Quote: | Former FBI Director James B. Comey testified that he knew little about the Democratic Party-financed dossier on which his agents relied to obtain wiretaps on a Trump campaign volunteer and target other Republicans in an ongoing 28-month investigation. |
That, using simple English, means he knew little--not nothing. You fools keep thinking you have a smoking gun. It's always just a little mist. On the other hand, Trump is a crook, plain and simple, with oveer 30 years of corrupt dealing. |

It's the head of the FBI's job to know just about everything, which only proves that Comey was very bad at his job, assuming he's telling the truth, something that very few people believe.
But mac believes everything that Comey says, as if he was Jesus. Somebody has to believe Comey I guess, it may as well be mac. |

I don't think a lot of Comey. But it is not unusual for NW to make up things as he defends Agent Orange, the most corrupt man ever elected POTUS. When you sign up for team treason, you repeat the standard Fox and Friends talking points--without attribution. |

Returning to sources with some credibility, Steele was a spy with at least some credibility. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2017/jan/12/intelligence-sources-vouch-credibility-donald-trump-russia-dossier-author
But of course, contrary to the right wing talking points about Steele being the only source for the original FISA warrants, there is Carter Page:
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-44916853
Well before the Steele dossier, Carter Page was known to have been recruited by Russian spies, and as an oil guy, was oppposed to sanctions under the Magnisky Act that prevented doing deals with Russia and Russian oligarchs.
Interesting how, when a rock is turned over, insects scurry everywhere, and there is a huge amount of evidence that promises were made about relief from sanctions, everyone on the right starts screaming that the FBI shouldn't have turned over that particular rock. Yeah. Trump may be a criminal, but he's your criminal. Agent Orange. And Syria was his Christmas gift to Putin. |

NW30, how many folks work at the FBI? It's not hard for me to think that the director of the FBI is much like a CEO of a very large company. To assume that such a figure is going to be up on absolutely everything going on in fine detail is a bit outlandish, don't you think?
Don't get me wrong in thinking that I'm a Comey fan, because if I was in President Obama shoes, he would have been out of a job after his cavalier public statements about Hillary Clinton in the summer of 2016. |
