mac, don't you just love it when I do the same thing you do, "divert", as in source bashing.
My point is that fact checkers are as trustworthy and any other new source. They are all just people, there is no such thing as an unbiased individual.

especially for a right winger who is a traitor to the USA like you and yours. again a right wing general who was in charge of national security could not even tell Hillary was not running a child slavery out of a pizza place.
face it you are just that stupid. IE a low-to-no-level thinker. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard. |

As the Trump administration demands funding for a border wall to stop illegal immigration, a new study finds that for the seventh consecutive year, visa overstays far exceeded unauthorized border crossings.
The report released Wednesday by the Center for Migration Studies of New York finds that from 2016-2017, visa overstayers accounted for 62 percent of the newly undocumented, while 38 percent had crossed a border illegally.
"It is clear from our research that persons who overstay their visas add to the US undocumented population at a higher rate than border crossers. This is not a blip, but a trend which has become the norm," said Donald Kerwin, CMS's executive director in a statement. "As these numbers indicate, construction of hundreds of more miles of border wall would not address the challenge of irregular migration into our country, far from it."

Moron logic, from morons..
So lets forget about protecting the border because more Supposedly come other ways???.... Do you even realize how dumb that sounds??
First asshat we don't even know how many are sneaking in because THEY ARE SNEAKING IN, second it does nothing to address the sex traffickers, drugs , gang members and criminals. Third point those who fly in are vetted and screened and much more likely to be educated and productive people.
The boat is sinking, there's a hole in the front and a hole in the back. How about we plug them both before we sink.. Can you wrap your little mind around that?? |

This is sorta funny. Matty claims we don't know how many are sneaking in but wants to spend billions just in case? There are less undocumented folks in this country now than there were 10 years ago by a million and a half. So, ICE must be doing a good job.
No one wants to eliminate walls we have. And, I am sure the border security folks would love a wall. That's the first rule of government...get bigger. Every agency wants more money all the time.
We have a huge deficit brewing with the Trump tax cut and the upcoming Trump recession. Isn't now a good time to really be careful with every dime we spend?
Maybe the wall makes sense as a government work program during a recession to help stimulate the economy. So, let's wait a couple years when construction costs tank due to the recession and people need work. Problem is we need Mexicans to actually build the wall if it is concrete. |

Seems like a reasonable representation of the PROBLEM.
https://www.factcheck.org/2018/06/illegal-immigration-statistics/
While numbers continue to decline since 2000, they are still mind boggeling large. Too many stats to quote very many, but for example:
Southwest Border Apprehensions in Oct. and Nov. 2018 were 51,000 and 52,000, which were highs. The low was in Jan. with 25,000 apprensions. And these numbers are very small compared to the peaks in the early 2000's. 396,000 apprehensions in 2018. 1,640,000 in 2000.
There's no way to know how many illegals succeed to sneak in, but if it's only one tenth of those that get caught (just an estimate to please the left), that would mean 5,000 per month in Oct. and Nov. 2018. What if the number that sneak in is twice as many as were caught? That would equal 100,000 per month in Oct. and Nov. 2018. Probably somewhere in between, but regardless, still huge numbers in my opinion. Why should anyone be able to sneak in successfully? |
