Wow!  Talk about a national emergency!  354 people died at the border last year.

126 from rain (flood), 86 from cold exposure, 110 from heat exposure, 20 from lack of food, 12 from blunt force trauma, including guns. 1 from rattlesnake.

I mean only 53,324 died in gunfire last year!  That’s 53,324 to 354! Children massacred in schools, psychos shooting into crowds from hotel rooms, fucked up people shooting in nightclubs, deranged mutant killers in theaters.  I mean no national emergency here!

Thank God for this national emergency because what goes around fucking comes around!  You go Trump!

How about we listen to the experts, the people who actually know the truth and don't have a political agenda.

Mark Morgan, who was chief of the U.S. Border Patrol during the Obama administration, says he completely backs President Trump’s plans for a border wall and other security measures.
“I agree 100 percent with what the president is trying to do with all things related to border security,” Mr. Morgan told Fox News host Neil Cavuto on Saturday.
“This is not based on political ideology. It is based on 30 years of governmental service. I am telling you this is a national security and humanitarian crisis on the southwest border,” said Mr. Morgan, who served in the FBI for two decades.

He also said if the public were to investigate for themselves, they would see that the “same language” Mr. Trump uses about the need for the wall and increased security was used by politicians on both sides of the aisle in the past. He deemed contemporary arguments against the wall “absurd.”
Mr. Morgan also called Mr. Trump’s descriptions of the current border crisis as “absolutely correct,” and said that the long standing strategy of infrastructure, technology and personnel — a multilayered approach which includes a wall — still works.
He has asserted this elsewhere.

While the number of apprehensions is significantly down at the southern border, one element never mentioned by the liberal media is how many actually sneak across without being apprehended. Don't forget, if apprehended, they just have to claim asylum in order to get a chance to stay.

Quote:
And the Institute for Defense Analyses estimates about 1.95 to 2.28 apprehensions for every successful illegal crossing.

“This translates to about 170,000 to 200,000 successful illegal crossings in 2018, or 1.7 million to two million over the next 10 years, assuming this level continues,” he said.

So if another 1.7 to 2 million illegals sneak in over the next 10 years - that's no big deal? I beg to differ.

just go to trump properties and you can find them working.... again put people like trump in jail that do not do e-verify, again trump even told his employees to get better fake documents then he would hire them. As noted one reported it took him three submissions till trump allowed him to work. And vs the legit workers he did not pay these workers health benifits.

again His modeling agency coached even minors to tell US immigration when flying to the USA paid for by Trump to just tell the immigration agents they were coming to vacation. Which was a lie, he also put them in an apartment his company rented and charged them outrageous fees to stay 10 in a 2 bedroom apartment if even that. So the intent was clear. and sent them out on modeling contracts. He closed his company after what 20-30 years when he became president, gee why.

The Border Patrol says there are literally thousands of illegal southern border crossings every day, and that almost a million are KNOWN, convicted criminals. How is that not an invasion AND a crisis?

Here are Pres Obama's National emergencies:
Oct. 23, 2009: Declaration of a National Emergency With Respect to the 2009 H1N1 Influenza Pandemic was never terminated or continued.
April 12, 2010 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Certain Persons Contributing to the Conflict in Somalia, continued in 2018.
Feb. 25, 2011 (still in effect): Blocking Property and Prohibiting Certain Transactions Related to Libya, continued in February 2018.
July 24, 2011 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Transnational Criminal Organizations, continued in July 2018.
May 16, 2012 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Persons Threatening the Peace, Security, or Stability of Yemen, continued in May 2012.
June 25, 2012: Blocking Property of the Government of the Russian Federation Relating to the Disposition of Highly Enriched Uranium Extracted from Nuclear Weapons, revoked in 2015.
March 6, 2014 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Certain Persons Contributing to the Situation in Ukraine, continued in March 2018.
April 3, 2014 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Certain Persons With Respect to South Sudan, continued in March 2018.
May 12, 2014 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Certain Persons Contributing to the Conflict in the Central African Republic, continued in May 2018.
March 8, 2015 (still in effect): Blocking Property and Suspending Entry of Certain Persons Contributing to the Situation in Venezuela, continued in March 2018.
April 1, 2015 (still in effect): Blocking the Property of Certain Persons Engaging in Significant Malicious Cyber-Enabled Activities, continued in March 2018.
Nov. 22, 2015 (still in effect): Blocking Property of Certain Persons Contributing to the Situation in Burundi, continued in November 2018.

George Bush W had more, but Bill Clinton holds the record. ALL of them sound pretty tame compared to our homeland invasion. I'm glad we finally have a president with the backbone to fight this threat.

Jeez ... just THINK, given his extremely impressive list of accomplishments already, what Trump could have accomplished if the Democrats and their mouthpiece media would stop their insane assault on the White House just because their dear Hillary lost and its occupant is as blunt as a whale.

Isobars lists many emergencies imposed by Obama. But this is a false equivalency to Mein Trumpf's wall. Obama's emergencies were 1) much smaller and 2) (most important) required immediate action (that's where the meaning of the word "emergent" comes from).

The only emergency is in DC and our federal "government". Bit by bit, Mein Trumpf undermines what's left of the pillars of democracy. This includes the judicial and legislative branches. Do you want to live in a society run by a narcissistic bully demagogue? That is what Mein Trumpf is. And he's really dumb too. Only the blind allegiant cannot see such obvious traits. It is religious thinking (or, rather, FEELING).

How's this for an equivalency? Today, we appear to be at the point of late-March, 1933, when Hitler was granted emergency powers. If our congress allows Trump's emergency decree, it will be a De facto Enabling Act. What greedy spineless cowards our Congressional members on the Republican side have been so far in the face of tyranny.

Of course Isobars leaves out the most important fact regarding the emergency declarations by past Presidents. NOT A SINGLE DECLARATION BY THESE PRESIDENTS WAS BECAUSE CONGRESS DID NOT APPROVE HIS ACTIONS. ie Trump's Emergency steps outside of the checks and balances that are provided by our (in my case but not that of a lot of the GOP these days) beloved Constitution.

Anyone who supports this action should be appalled at the disregard for the US Constitution regardless of their political views and agenda. Shameless.
