These particular ones don't have a Velcro strap. They get a lot of water in them and make my feet heavy. When I take them off I dump out a handful of water.
Do the ones with a strap keep them from getting a lot of water in them?

You definitely want to layer your wetsuit over the booties, and you can limit the amount of water getting in at the cuffs by putting a velcro straps over your wetsuit above your ankles. |

I tried it today the other way and it kept out the water. Now it's clear how exactly all that water was wicking or draining into the boots from the wetsuit legs.
