I have a JP Magic Ride 142L board, use a True Ames Sweeper 54 cm for both my 9.0 and 7.2 Aerotech FreeSpeed sails for winds from 13-25 mph. It works great, get on plane easily and good control of the board (I weigh 190 lbs). Now I just got a Goya Bolt 135 for windfoiling, but also want to use it for windsurfing, and the stock MFC H1 46 cm fin was too small (same for JP Magic Ride JP sweeper style 46 cm fin), so looking for a new fin for the Bolt. If I put a TA Sweeper 54 cm fin on the Bolt can I expect it to handle the same as for the Magic Ride?(very similar bottoms and overall size) Also looking at a Select S1 Pro 55 cm fin, wondering if it will work better for early planing, without loosing handling. I windsurf in a large bay, always have waves (1/2 foot to 2 feet). Love speed, but don't race, and am intermediate in skill level. Thanks for the help!

Or maybe a Select VMax 4 in 51 cm would also be a good option? Was told the True Ames Sweeper in G10 will flex and twist a lot compared to a carbon Select VMax, so at the same wind speed would need a smaller VMax since it is stiff and the twist blocked so more power goes to the board.

You might consider adding Tectonics to your list. A bit more pricey than some brands, but well worth it in my view.

+1 on Tectonics. Precise, powerful, fast.
