I'm mostly a step-jiber when windsurfing, but do the classic carve jibe (flip sail first then feet) when conditions setup for it like in swell. started jibing on the foil board with my normal step jibe, but quickly transitioned to the carve jibe and found it more reliable. however, now i'm learning to dial the step jibe in, especially when underpowered. how do you like to jibe your foil board?

i made a quick vid yesterday of three different foil jibes

Right now I'm trying to master the 'not falling' method which so far has not really worked out to well.

Looks like the step-jibe may be the easiest as you can go clew first for a while as your reseting your balance on the foil.

If any of my foiling looked that steady I'd be thrilled. But just speaking instinctively I wonder if the duck would work best in light winds.

Just watched the video. Does anyone know what sling shot board he is riding?
I like the shape and the single center strap. Could be my next board

Awesome Kevin! I've got the same foil but my board is way wider since it's an old formula board, and I'm wondering if that's making it harder to do the jibe footwork since the footstraps are so much further apart. I probably just need more practice.

Pretty certain the board Wyatt is on is the new Slingshot Freestyle 115L or at least a prototype of it.[/quote]
