Most important is what YOU like.
I have and rotate thru 3 85 liter Fsw single fin boards.
In my feeble mind, all would be better with smaller main and some sidebites. Rail to rail would be quicker and landing jumps more consistent. The finbox would last longer, and I can sail home even with 2 fins missing. |

Ancient history, I was making Robin Prodanovich, Local Motion shaper, add woodies side AND front, to 10" US boxes in 1984. I broke a finbox on each of my first three single fin glass boards landing jumps slightly off kilter.
He charged me an additional $50 per board.
Was using 8.5" single wave fins and weighed 145 lbs. |

As for Stubbies, I believe stock is 17 with 2 10's.
My 92 Firewave came with MUCH smaller 17's which I replaced with a 22 speedtrials still using the sidebite 10's.
The 22 was for my 15 and 17" wide speedtrial boards. |

should be 18 ad 12 and 19 and 12.
Of course Kevin may be using something other than stock. Thank you very much
